1. Terms
By accessing this web site, you are agreeing to be bound by these web site Terms and Conditions of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this web site are protected by applicable copyright and trade mark law.
2. Use License
Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on Paperquotes's web site for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not: modify or copy the materials;
use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial); attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Paperquotes's web site; remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or access, use, or copy any portion of this website through the use of bots, spiders, scrapers, web crawlers, indexing agents, or other automated devices or mechanisms; transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server. All quotations published in Paperquotes are the intellectual property of their respective originators. Many of them originated in UNIX fortune database or from our staff or from our users. We do not assert any claim of copyright for individual quotations. All use of quotations is done under the fair use copyright concept. If you are an author of a quote and don't like us to quote you, please drop a note and we will be happy to remove your quotes so that they don't appear on our site.
The images on this site are sourced from free image sites (like the ones mentioned below)

Paperquotes makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. Further, Paperquotes does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on its Internet web site or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.
4. Limitations
In no event shall Paperquotes or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption,) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Paperquotes's Internet site, even if Paperquotes or a Paperquotes authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. 8. Governing Law
Any claim relating to Paperquotes's web site shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
9. API Use
If you use to our API, you agree to all the restrictions listed under section #2. You may not cache / store / persist the quotes and other materials returned from our API for more than 8 hours. You may not use the API to scrap the material including quotes and qshows etc... and store them for later use.
You may reproduce the quotes returned from the API in your applications, but you need to credit Paperquotes in your terms or about page, if you are a paid subscriber. If you use the public API (without paid subscription) you must credit paperquotes in places where you display the quotes.
10. Writing Plugins / Modules
You are welcome to use our API in any of your open source / commercial projects. For open source community project we require a credit and a link back to paperquotes.com in the project page. And all the restrictions mentioned in section 9 under API use still applies to the projects as well. A credit where quotes are displayed is highly appreciated but not strictly required.
